I give the President a hard time, occasionally, for being feckless.  But you see, he does know how to wage war.  He’s just choosing his battles.  And doing so in a very un-presidential way.

The administration has decided that Fox News is the enemy.  Over the weekend, the President’s soldiers went on TV and declared that Fox is not a news organization, and “ought not be treated as one.”  (Follow the links on this post for a good background.)

Today, they stepped it up a notch, and tried to explicitly disallow Fox from interviewing the administration’s “Pay Czar. “  When the other members of the press pool balked, the administration relented, and allowed Fox to perform an interview.  How magnanimous of them.

I’d say today’s actions were unbelievable, but I’ve been paying attention long enough to expect this kind of thing.
