With officially just one week left in “the Summer of Death,” we lose another.
Patrick Wayne Swayze, who played such roles as Greaser Darrel Curtis, Ruskie survivor Jed, inappropriate pedophile dancer Johnny Castle, SNL Chip ‘n Dales dancer #2, cross dressing “Too Wong Foo” fan Vida, and ‘ditto’ ghost Sam Wheat, passed away yesterday to pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.
We’ll make sure no one puts Baby in the corner, now that you are gone.

Damn Tom – you beat me to this one.
I was going to make a post about about Swayze centering on the fact that he was married to the same woman for over 30 years.
That's so cool.
His wife was a pilot and would fly him to his cancer treatments.
This was a tough battle for him. I am sorry to see that he has passed at such a young age. I totally grew up on Dirty Dancing, and know that I will probably never forget the movie-so at least his family can be assured his memory will live on in so many others.
