I noted the existence of Mountain Dew—Throwback (or is it Mountain Dew: Throwback?) a few days ago and promised a review.

My review: Meh.

It was good… I definitely noticed the difference… but it wasn’t great or anything.

The taste and aftertaste were both noticeably different. But I’d liken the difference to the existing difference between any soda in cans vs. 20 oz bottles vs. fountain vs. 2 liters.

I’m not sure if I’d describe the taste as better, just different. I think it had more to do with familiarity than anything else.

Bottom Line: Worth a try. Good. Not Great.

I’d be interested to see how others feel should they try it.
