I went online to research more about a story I read on the wall at Buca last night. It was about a musician name Diane DiPola that was famous, but eventually killed by a dog. I’m starting to think the whole thing was a lie.
But I did find out some interesting Buca trivia in the process, some of which may also be untrue:
- The entire Buca chain was bought by Planet Hollywood in 2008. (Confirmed)
- The name roughly translates to “Joe’s Basement.” As explained by wiki, which seems rather suspicious to me:
Buca, which literally means “hole,” can be a slang word for basement or cellar, and Beppo is a nickname for Giuseppe, the Italian form of “Joseph”, in Southern Italy.
Actually, that’s all I found out. I guess Buca just isn’t that interesting of a topic. I give the Prosciutto stuffed chicken got 4/5 stars, fwiw.

Another version of “Joe” (short for Giuseppe) is “Pepe.”
That's insane, like how Margaret > Peggy
E- This was that comic I was talking about on Friday.
