The McDouble is basically a McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger with only one slice of cheese instead of the regular two.
At the McDonald’s by my house it replaced the Double Cheeseburger on the Dollar Menu.
Although I disagree with a business giving us less for more when their sales are through the roof, I typically removed a good portion of the cheese on the Double Cheeseburger anyway, so I won’t cry about the change.

You take cheese off your burger? That’s like disfacing a piece of art.
I was thinking deface, but typing disgrace. Its pretty dramastic.
I kind of like ‘disface.’ Maybe it will catch on. Like T-X-Ting.
And for the record, I just take off the stuff that sticks out from the sides – not anything that is actually melted on the burger.
Most of the time the genius making the sandwich pretty much misses the burger entirely and the cheese is hanging off the side.
On a related note, this little beauty caused beef shortages across Japan!
I can’t decide how to feel about that picture.
Part of me is repulsed, yet another part of me is so, so curious.
