Algae is responsible for producing 3/4 of the oxygen in the atmosphere. Algae is not responsible for producing the Oxygen network. That’s NBC Universal.

So you mean to tell me that if we set up a few algae farms, we can cut down all the trees in the world and the hippies out there will be powerless to complain? Well, I mean, they will still complain, but they just won’t have a basis?
Yes. I also read where they are genetically engineering algae to eat garbage and produce gasoline. So there.

The more I think about it, the more I think the algae was being used for bio-diesel, and it was bacteria that was eating trash and pooping gasoline.
