Random quote from a Fox News article:
During some videotaped commentary about the Muppets Henson’s longtime collaborator Frank Oz remarked that if Henson didn’t know how to end a skit, he’d do one of two things: one Muppet would eat the other one. Or, one Muppet would blow the other one up.
Not usually on Sesame Street, I would suppose.
Oh, and Jim Henson used to appear on The Ed Sullivan Show.

BTW, it seems that Disney (who bought The Muppets a few years ago) is planning a major Muppets Renaissance- complete with The Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana.

How many muppets posts can I expect?
I just report the news, I don’t make it. If my random wandering of the world wide nets leads me to muppets, then so be it.
I don’t control these things, it’s more like I’m being guided by Triviana, the ancient Greek god of Trivia that I just invented.
But I am interested to see that it’s more than just the babies you have an irrational hatred of.
Did Gonzo the Great scare you as a child? You can admit it. His nose is a little disconcerting.
As for me, I’ve set the DVR for The Disney Channel, so I can see Miss Piggy and The Jonas brothers rock out together.
I’m really interested to see how Kalena would react to a Hannah Montana / Muppets cross-over. Which side would win out?!?
I wouldn’t watch it-nor would I want the DVD. I have never-and will never watch a full length anything to do with any of the muppets. I am not sure why-except that I always thought their sense of humor was horrible. And Miss Piggy is such a terrible character!
(I think even putting Johnny Depp in there-I still wouldn’t watch it)
Well, unfortunately, there was never an episode of The Muppet Show with Johnny Depp.
However, courtesy of ThePrawnCracker, Senior Member at MuppetCentral.com with over 13,000 posts to his/her name, there is a fan fiction version of a what a Depp/Muppet script would look like.
Mr./Ms. ThePrawnCracker even acted out his/her script with his/her very own muppet action figures.

Oh, and not to beat a dead Muppet, but does the hatred extend to Sesame Street?
Bert and Ernie are Muppets too.
Hmm good question-because I did like Sesame Street when I was little.
